・八八木的故事・
八八木誕生於香港，2016年開始執筆自學書法。從本名「霖」字中取出筆劃，取名「八八木」展開書法之路並實踐將文字融入生活理念。
八八木從書寫中意識到擁抱當下的重要性。珍惜地球上每份微小，嘗試以花代筆，手執花草書寫，願文字中簡素的筆劃，記載著花草轉瞬即逝的美好，運用水墨和人手拓裱的傳統手工記錄當下。
・過往作品與活動・
曾為電影、香港本地舞蹈團及話劇團的劇目與書刊封面題字，包括《迷航、山水、廿四節氣、如夢之夢、凝、愛情觀自在》等展現文字與藝術的深厚連結。
2022年榮獲「香港十大匠人」獎項表彰其卓越貢獻。於2023年舉辦首個慈善義賣書法展覽，為慈善基金籌募經費，並透過「花字工作坊」與復康者和照顧者一同以花為筆，書寫心聲傳遞溫暖。 2024年受邀於香港誠品舉辦個人書法展覽《Go with your soul》展出全新作品。同年在藝穗會HKFringeClub舉辦《花信》聯展。2025年於無印良品Open MUJI舉辦《LIVE in the moment》個人書法展覽，以「隨」為中心，活用書法及拓裱創作帶出新作「隨拍、隨心、隨年月」三部曲，詮釋活在當下的魅力。

Babamoo's story
「八八木」Babamoo was born and raised in Hong Kong. In 2016 started learning Chinese calligraphy by herself.
The workshop name「八八木」derives from her given name「穎霖」. Her vision is “Brings words into life” (BWIL).
The COVID-19 and geopolitics makes her aware the uncertainties around. You only live once. Gradually, she realize the important of enjoying life, embracing life. She tried writing Chinese calligraphy by using the stem of a flower instead of a brush. When holding the stems, she feel their strength. They tell her they were once existed on the earth. They have their stories. The words she wrote record our feelings in moment of time, our own story. It recalls her a Japanese words “ichigo ichie”(一期一會). Let’s seize the day.
All the handwritings are autograph. Mounting is handled by herself for sure.
